These are not only changing times.
These are challenging times in more ways than one.
But then things have started emerging more clearly. As of now it appears - Narendra Modi has been given a freehand by Nagpur -- to run the affairs of India and also the BJP.
No dual power centres.
Apparently, the 'lesson' has been drawn from old pages of politics in Uttar Pradesh wherein a very popular and mass level leader and first BJP chief minister Kalyan Singh was put into embarrassment.
Kalyan Singh - Once an Advani loyalist
Kalyan Singh was replaced as Chief Minister in 1991. He was heading a full-majority government. And the price the Sanghparivar,
BJP stalwarts and the saffron party had to pay for showing him the boot was immense.
Between 1991 and 2017 -- BJP had a Chief Minister in Rajnath Singh but it was with outside support.
Only in 2017 -- that is after 26 years the Lotus party could capture power in the country's most populated state with such an absolute majority mandate.
The lesson :
"Do not disturb a mass level and popular leader".
Another lesson was from Gujarat vis-a-vis none other than Narendra Modi himself.
A powerful section of RSS and VHP (under the influence of Praveen Togadia) had wanted to write off Modi in 2007 assembly elections in Gujarat.
Namo got the political inkling and he handled things at his level and ultimately, the BJP got a thumping majority. Togadia and VHP were quickly sidelined and the rest is history.
In 2025 - the RSS presumed it will 'impose' a blue-eyed-boy as BJP national president. The desire for such a veiled confrontation with Modi-Amit Shah duo came from the mandate of 2024 polls.
Like many under the sun -- the western media and India's Sickular gang and the likes of Rahul Gandhi - Nagpur also presumed that Modi will be a 'weak' leader by now.
He is not and he has proved them so !!
Operation Sindoor has enhanced Namo's image immensely and made him "popular" yet again -- if anyone had thought otherwise.
Thus, in the ultimate what ends well is the final story that has gone down well.
Nagpur is on back-gear and has decided to give a freehand to Modi to decide about BJP national president and the manners he should run the party and the government.
For his part - Modi has also made it clear that Moditva -- does not mean any compromises on Hindutva issues.
So 'ideologically' -- there will not be any major issue.
As of now PM Modi will be the boss of his Team and the ultimate executioner of his plans.
The Modi-admirers therefore say -- even on the global stage - the Prime Minister will display his strength and strategies now keeping in tune with the grand vision of the Hindutva forces.
The cabinet reshuffle may see ouster of one or two 'apple(s) of the eye' of Nagpur.
The RSS will not be really concerned whether new BJP president will be 'rubber stamp' of the Modi-Shah duo.
The new cabinet and organisation wise -- Modi will have younger teams with women leaders given prominence.
In the cabinet -- the four big portfolios are Home, Finance, External Affairs and Defence.
There may not be any change in Home portfolio for obvious reasons. But the remaining three and few other key portfolios in the Union cabinet may see new and surprising faces.
The first major announcement may come on Aug 12 when the BJP and the NDA may announce their candidate for Vice President's post.
The answer to questions on whether Modi will go for a Congress-friendly Nagpur baby .... lies in the womb of time.
