Amid chants of 'Har Har Mahadev' ; NDA Parliamentary party meet felicitate PM Modi for success of Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev

A resolution was passed unanimously by NDA MPs on the success of Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was felicitated by the lawmakers on the success of the two key Operations.

The NDA MPs lauded the exceptional leadership displayed by Prime Minister Modi during these times. His unwavering resolve, visionary statesmanship and resolute command have not only steered the nation with purpose but also ignited a renewed spirit of unity and pride in the hearts of all Indians.

Felicitation of Namo was accompanied by chants of "Har Har Mahadev" by leaders of the ruling alliance.

Condolences were given to the family members of the victims of the Pahalgam Terror attack. Sources said new MPs were also introduced to the Prime Minister.

The Tuesday (Aug 5th) meeting marked the first such gathering of the alliance after the military operations.

Prime Minister Modi also addressed the MPs on the government's upcoming Tiranga Yatra and outlined the NDA's political strategy to counter the opposition in the ongoing Monsoon Session.

The NDA meet took place amid a largely stalled Parliament session, disrupted by opposition protests over the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Bihar electoral rolls.

A two-day debate on the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor had been done in both the Houses but no other legislative business has been transacted.

On US President Donald Trump saying he will substantially raise tariffs on India over Russian oil purchases, and India's response thereof, Congress MP Manish Tewari says,

"Donald Trump's disparaging remarks hurt the dignity and self-respect of 140 crore Indians. I hope the government shows the resolve and the spine to stare this gentleman down.

It is unfortunate that in the discourse among nations, such vile language is being used by the President of the most powerful nation in the world. The time has come to call out this constant bullying and hectoring...

India has a historical evolution of standing up to anything that is against the Indian national interest... Trump's tariff threats need to be replied to by the government of India in a manner that indicates and demonstrates a steadfast national resolve."

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi says,

"... His accusations that we are supporting Russia's war with Ukraine by purchasing oil from them is absolutely wrong. US, EU, and China's trade with Russia continues, so how is it fair to accuse India alone... We also now need to impose tariffs on goods we import from the US.

Tariffs are not one-way traffic, and we can hit them with tariffs too."
