Operation in Arunachal Pradesh along India-Myanmar border ::: Armed cadres had managed to cross the border taking cover of the dense surrounding forest.

 

On receipt of specific intelligence of movement of cadres in general area Pongchau Circle, Arunachal Pradesh along the Indo-Myanmar border, Security Forces launched a patrol to dominate the border areas on 05 Jun 25.

While moving through the thick forest, troops observed the movement of unknown individuals and challenged them. 

In response to that the troops drew heavy and indiscriminate fire from heavy calibre weapons which was effectively retaliated by the Security Forces. 

In the intense firefight, the unknown cadres were able to withdraw across the Border into Myanmar. 

The area was thoroughly searched by the Security Forces however the cadres had managed to cross the border taking cover of the dense surrounding  forest.

 ✅Encounter ensued after patrol was fired upon by armed cadres, Defence sources said.

"Effective retaliation forced them to flee across the border," sources said.
