'Dal hit mein mat bhale na mile lekin desh hit mein mann jarur mile'... We may have political differences but national cause we should be united" - PM's message to MPs

PM Narendra Modi says, "The country has seen the power of unity. So all the MPs in the House, give it strength, take it forward and I will definitely say that every political party has its own agenda, its own role, but I accept this reality that 'Dal hit mein mat bhale na mile lekin desh hit mein mann jarur mile'...".

Monsoon session of Parliament gets underway on Monday, July 21.

Modi also said : "The brutal atrocities and the massacre in Pahalgam have shaken the entire world. Keeping party interests aside, in the interest of the country, representatives of most of our parties, went to many countries of the world and in one voice, ran a very successful campaign to expose Pakistan before the world.

I want to appreciate all those MPs, I want to appreciate all the parties for this important work done in the national interest and this has created a positive atmosphere in the country...".

The Prime Minister also said : "There was a time in the country before 2014 when the inflation rate was in double digits. Today, with the rate dropping to around two per cent, it has become a relief and a convenience in the lives of the common people in the country. Twenty five crore poor people have come out of poverty, which is being appreciated by many institutions of the world...".

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Monsoon session of Parliament would celebrate the victory of soldiers in Operation Sindoor, asserting that the whole world saw India's might and called for unity among all parties on the matter.

Speaking before the start of the session, the Prime Minister touched upon a host of issues, ranging from India setting foot on the space station to the government's resolve of a "naxalism-free" country by 2026.

PM Modi also spoke of the government's resolve to end naxalism. "Many districts are free of naxalism today. The 'red corridors' are transforming into 'green growth zones'," he said.

Underscoring that India was now the third-largest economy, PM Modi said the days when the country was counted as one among the "Fragile Five" was passe. "There was a time before 2014 when the inflation rate was in double digits. Today, with the rate dropping to around 2%, it has become a relief for the common people," he said.

Among the topics that will be vehemently raised by the opposition is the Air India crash in Ahmedabad, which left 260 dead, and the issue of aviation safety. With US reports pinning the blame on pilots, a government response will provide insights on the full picture.

Seeking cooperation from the opposition, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said the government was open to discussing Operation Sindoor, underscoring that it would not shy away from any topic.
