New Delhi:
On my orders the United States military have begun strikes against Al Qaeda training camps and the military installations at the Taliban regime in Afghanistan.
It’s important for Americans to know this war will not be quick, and this war will not be easy. We know this not only from intelligence bit also from intelligence of the military conflict in Afghanistan.
We destroyed the Taliban, many terrorists and the camps where they were trained. We continue to help the Afghan people...
Barack Obama:
Tonight, I can report to the American people and the world. The United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda.
..... America’s longest war will finally be over.
# We also can’t try to takeover and rebuild every country that falls into crisis.
That’s not leadership. It’s the lesson of Vietnam, it’s the lesson of Iraq and we should have learnt it by now.
