Voices: Former US Prezs and Joe Biden : One liners those defined and redefined 'American story' in Afghanistan

New Delhi:

On my orders the United States military have begun strikes against Al Qaeda training camps and the military installations at the Taliban regime in Afghanistan.

It’s important for Americans to know this war will not be quick, and this war will not be easy. We know this not only from intelligence bit also from intelligence of the military conflict in Afghanistan.

We destroyed the Taliban, many terrorists and the camps where they were trained. We continue to help the Afghan people...

Barack Obama:

Tonight, I can report to the American people and the world. The United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda.

Donald Trump:

#

WE are not fighting a war...If I had to fight a war and win it, I could win that war in a week. I just don’t want to kill 10 million people. (Trump in presence of Imran Khan)

.... Bad things happen, we will go back.

Joe Biden:

The United States will begin our final withdrawal on May 1, 2021
“....they are not remotely comparatble” – Biden to a question on whether there are some parallels between Vietnam and Afghan withdrawal.
