"This Christian agenda is a highly cunning organized movement that often operates under the radar,” says the book 'Pendedahan Agenda Kristian (Exposing the Christian Agenda)'.
Media reports say, first published in 2014, the book in a digital format is available online now and is reportedly being shared and read widely by Malaysians.
The book labels Christians as “the enemies of Islam” and says, “Their latest strategy is supposedly to be friendly with Muslims and at the same time convince them of the need to accept Christian teachings".
Christians, however, chose to describe the entire episode as "paranoid concerns" and maintain that earlier too, hardline Islamists have expounded similar fears.
Christians account for around 9 percent of Malaysia's 32 million citizens.
Published by the Selangor Islamic Council (Mais), the 120-page book, has five chapters and talks about what the Quran says about Christians, the laws about proselytisation among Muslims as well as Christian evangelism.
The constitution makes Malaysia a secular country and guarantees freedom of religion but Christians are increasingly getting beleaguered by the hardline Islamists.
Christianity is the predominant religion of the non-Malay Bumiputra community at around 46.5 per cent.
But Christianity has not made deeper inroads into Peninsular Malaysia.but indigenous tribes of East Malaysia have converted to Christianity over the years.
Reports also say that the book cautions Muslim believers against 'befriending Christians'.
The book’s anonymous authors write: “Christians will try their best to create resentment among the Muslims.
Muslims must be stern and careful of Christians, and we must not follow or regard them as our protectors, leaders or guardians".
In Malaysia, the government prohibits any publications that it feels will incite racial or religious disharmony.
But Islam being the state religion, the government authorities can provide financial support to Islamic establishments and enforces the Sunni form of Islam.
Lately, Indian authorities have been trying to get radical Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, booked for money laundering, extradited to India. Zakir is in Malaysia now for last few years.
The government of India has also taken up the matter with Interpol.

Afghanistan soil shud not be used by terror groups, say India and EU
New Delhi: India and the European Union have asserted that the "soil of Afghanistan should not be used by terrorist groups" to threaten the security of India and the EU.
In a joint statement after meeting between External Affairs Minister, Dr. S Jaishankar and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy HRVP Borrell, both sides recalled the India–EU Summit joint declaration on International Terrorism, and condemned in the strongest terms all terrorist activities.
They reaffirmed their strong commitment to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including
its financing, the dismantling of terrorist infrastructures and countering radicalization, to ensure that Afghanistan
is never again a safe haven for international terrorism.
External Affairs Minister Dr. Jaishankar is in London for G-7 Foreign Ministers meet.
Both the leaders underlined that the Afghanistan Conference in Geneva in November 2020 provided an
important opportunity for the international community to confirm its continued commitment, both politically
and financially, to a peaceful, prosperous and self-reliant Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his British counterpart Boris Johnson held a Virtual
Summit meet on Tuesday.
An ambitious ‘Roadmap 2030’ was adopted at the Summit to elevate bilateral ties to a ‘Comprehensive Strategic Partnership’. The Roadmap will pave the way for a deeper and stronger engagement over the next ten years.
"India and the UK enjoy long standing friendly ties and share a Strategic Partnership underpinned
by mutual commitment to democracy, fundamental freedoms and the rule of law, strong complementarities
and growing convergences," an official release said.
Both sides inked several pacts and MoUs including on trade, global innovation and
Migration and Mobility Partnership..
"Through the Declaration India and UK announce their intent to negotiate a comprehensive Free
Trade Agreement to unlock the full potential of their trade and commercial relations,
including consideration of an Interim Trade Agreement for delivering early gains," an official source said.
3000 young Indian professionals can avail employment opportunities in UK
Under new pact India to take back citizens living illegally in UK
New Delhi: In a major move creating a 'new scheme' for exchange of young professionals with those Indians in distress in the United Kingdom, India and Britain on Tuesday, May 4 inked an agreement on migration and mobility partnership.
The MoU creates a new scheme for exchange of young professionals under which every year up to 3000 young Indian professionals can avail the benefits.
Under this, young Indian professionals can avail employment opportunities in the UK for a period of two years without being subject to labour market tests.
"It is our solemn duty that Indian nationals who are undocumented, or are in distress abroad and not being given nationality or residence permits, have to be taken back," Joint Secretary in the Europe West division in the Ministry of
External Affairs, Sandeep Chakravorty, told reporters here.
Documents submitted to a British parliamentary panel in 2018 have said that India accounted for the largest number of individuals staying in the UK illegally. The number of those subjected to forced returns to India had fallen by 50 percent.
There has also been the problem of “visa over stayers”.
The pact was inked on May 4 between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and UK Home Secretary Priti Patel in London ahead of a virtual summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his British counterpart Boris Johnson.
The MoU on Migration and Mobility Partnership will facilitate legal movement of students and professionals and also enhance cooperation between India and the UK in combating illegal migration.
The pact would thus help provide enhanced employment opportunities for 3,000 young Indian professionals annually, in return for India agreeing to take back any of its citizens who are living illegally in the United Kingdom.
Britain’s interior ministry said that the deal aimed to attract "the best and brightest, and supporting people coming to the UK through legal routes".This would also stop the 'abuse' of the system and speeding up the removal of those who have no right to be in the UK.
A joint statement issued after the Modi-Johnson talks said the two leaders welcomed the signing of the migration and mobility partnership. They also expressed confidence in the benefits it will have in facilitating the legal movement of students and professionals.
The move is also aimed at combating illegal migration and “organised immigration crime”.
Joint Secretary Chakravorty said India is against illegal migration as it “prejudices legal migration”.
“The migration and mobility partnership is a very comprehensive document. India never encourages illegal migration,"he said adding India is against illegal migration.
“So the migration and mobility partnership is a comprehensive document where we will take back Indian nationals,” he said.
In 2018 one such pact had met with hurdles. Migration of course is a reason of tension and friction between the two countries.
Britain had claimed three years back that there were as many as 100,000 Indians living illegally in the UK, though sources in Indian government had dismissed the figure.
