Over to BJP central leadership should they continue to trust a party of Congress sympathisers called NDPP

"I say things that hurt people's mind. State govt says they are facilitators and they have spent all the time facilitating nothing," retired IAS officer Khekiye K Sema blasted the NDPP-BJP regime much to the embarrassment of the saffron party leadership which showed so much trust in a failed leadership.

Importantly, the observation came on the sidelines of a meet wherein Naga Village Elders, GB Federation took an historic initiative and pursuaded civil society leaders take a strong stance in favour of  Common Draft to help resolve Naga issue.

The BJP central leadership should do well to realise that their trust was misused over the years by the NDPP -- which has lately even started hobnobbing with the Congress.

Khekiye told reporters : the state government has not shown "any interest".

Nothing can be more embarrassing for the BJP where a state government which drew strength from the Lotus party sought to undo the achievements of two pacts the Framework Agreement and the Agreed Position.

Nagas reside in the present day state of Nagaland and parts of Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.

The Centre during the parleys with the Naga rebels that commenced in 1997 and also later repeatedly made
it clear that the Naga Solution will not include any separate Naga flag and Constitution.

Such demands were made by NSCN-IM but the NNPG favours early signing of the peace pact.

In fact, Home Minister Amit Shah told a delegation of Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio and other ministers in
November 2024 that the Govt of India has already conveyed to Naga rebels NNPG and NSCN-IM
on what all can be accommodated as part of the Solution pact.

During the meeting, the delegation reportedly mooted the idea of a new negotiator and responding
to this Amit Shah said - "do not blame negotiators ... do not blame R N Ravi or A K Mishra.
Negotiators or interlocutors talk only on behalf of the Govt of India".

Democracy triumphs in Naga society : Peace process enters Final phase

Take it or leave it moment. Govt of India should be jubilant as overwhelming demand prevails for COMMON DRAFT to resolve Naga political problem.

The divergence which prevailed in Naga society over Framework Agreement and Agreed Position finally converges on ‘common draft’.

The debate over whether GoI will sign a solution with NNPGs leaving out NSCN-IM concludes with overwhelming demand for a ‘common platform’.

One solution for all Nagas and with all Naga armed groups.

A senior analyst and South Asia watcher says:

"It's time to feel humble and bow down before Democratic voice that has emerged from the wilds of northeast. Some saboteurs pushed Ideological untouchability.

Others believed jn intellectual superiority ... rejected.

Finally there is mood to hail Modi Govt and bow down before equality of Naga aspirations."

former military commander said:

"I always knew True democracy prevails in Naga society. I have been proved right. PRIME MINISTER should himself take control of things now and deliver Solution within next three months".

If Negotiating entities are lacking sincerity and political will to deliver an assured Solution on Naga issue; the indefinite talks should come to an end" -- says a statement issued after civil society meet hosted and anchored by village elders - Naga GB Federation
