Centenary Year ::: Time for mass mobilisation of Hindu society, says RSS :::: “Vimarsh ko badalna hai ..... we have to change the narrative and establish TRUTH

The RSS plans an ambitious programme to focus on how to adopt "modern living" but still retaining touch with Hindu wisdom and roots.

The RSS will enter its centenary year on October 2, 2025 on Vijaya Dashmi and will hold a mass contact with all villages and households between November 2025 and January 2026.

At the end of a three day meeting of All India Pratinidhi Sabha, the highest decision making body of the RSS, in Bengaluru on Sunday, Sangh general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale shared plans to mark the centenary year of the organisation which is today one crore cadre strong.

The historic Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is also the the ruling BJP's ideological mentor and the likes of Narendra Modi have been RSS pracharaks or organisers and full-time followers.

A statement by Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale on the 500th Birth Anniversary of Maharani Abbakka was also issued, recognising her as one of Bharat’s greatest women freedom fighters.

“A total of 1,482 people were expected to attend, out of which 1,443 were present, marking an attendance of 93.7 percent. Swayamsevaks from various regions, including Manipur, Jammu and Kashmir, Kanyakumari participated".

"In this journey of hundred years, with the values imbued in daily-shakha, Sangh has earned the unwavering trust and affection of Society. During this period, Sangh Swayamsevaks have strived to carry everyone along with the strength of love and affection, rising above honours and insults, likes and dislikes.

On the occasion of the Sangh’s centenary year, it is our duty to remember the Pujya Saints and the righteous people (Sajjan shakti) in the society whose blessings and cooperation have been of great strength amidst all odds, the selfless Karyakartas who have devoted their lives and the Swayamsevak families who have been immersed in silent dedication," - a statement said.

The organisation on Sunday announced a mass contact campaign to galvanise the Hindu society in its centenary year and said it would do so to spread Sangh's message of a united and harmonious society.

“On Vijayadasami Day, the RSS will hold programmes at all mandals (a group of 10 to 20 villages) and bastis (a unit with 10,000 people) to consolidate its recent expansion in one lakh places.

Later a comprehensive outreach to contact maximum villages and households will take place from November to January when we will reach crores of households, lakhs of villages and towns and communicate the idea of Sangh, its work.

We will urge people to join us and engage in socially useful activities in their neighbourhoods. We plan to hold this outreach for three weeks in each state,” Hosabale said.

Another major programme of RSS outreach would be Hindu Samaj Sammelan from mandal to block level.

"As a society we should be strong, confident and harmonious, free of discrimination. Every family should contribute something for the nation. The idea is to galvanise the strength of the Hindu society so that it feels confident, united and harmonious,” he said.

Also on the anvil are sadbhav baithaks (Harmony meetings) and goodwill seminars to urge everyone to stay united.

“This programme will focus on how we can adopt modern living while still retaining touch with our roots,” the RSS leader said.

District level intelligentsia meetings will also be held in RSS centenary year to discuss national issues and one nation, one culture approach for national integrity.

The basis for the outreach plan is -- changing the narrative and establishing the truth.

“Vimarsh ko badalna hai, we have to change the narrative and establish the truth.

The Hindu society has awakened over the years. Today calling oneself Hindu is a matter of pride but we have to ensure some internal corrections, such as fighting caste and working for women's empowerment,” Hosabale said.

The RSS has also asked its provinces to hold special programmes for youth aged 15 to 30 years and “prepare them for nation building.”

In the later part of 2026, RSS has drawn up plans for Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat to meet with the intelligentsia in Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Mumbai besides holding one week long shakhas in one lakh places where the Sangh had recently established its presence.
