U-turns ..... Final half-turn !! :::: Lesson for BJP/RSS from Dhankhar episode ..... -- "Do not trust much those who come from outside Sangh famly"

 U-turns ..... Final half-turn !!

Jagdeep Dhankhar may go Satyapal Malik and Yashwant Sinha ways .... slam PM Narendra Modi and also Amit Shah. Resignation was good riddance for BJP... but the ugly battle will persist.

Time to learn lessons. The BJP, PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah and the RSS should not repose more faith on them who make lateral entry into the BJP for key positions.

Jagdeep Dhankhar did not have RSS background and was lucky to have been spotted by Amit Shah. He was made West Bengal Governor and then Vice President. Glories and good offices came to him pretty late and last few months are perhaps a testimony that he grew more than the size of the shoes.

Post his resignation now things are falling like a pack of cards that he was almost on 'ways' to shape a career of his own beyond the BJP's command structures and boundaries. This has been a major demerit of Jat politicians and after Satyapal Malik, Dhankhar seems to be in that club.

There have been other non-Sanghparivar leaders who made big in BJP but later on did not mind speaking evil of the Lotus party. Two names come in mind rather quicly - Yashwant Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha.

All such leaders have made prsobal attack on PM Narendra Modi and Yashwan Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha did not mind joining other parries.

According to sources, more than what are being reported in the media, certain developments in the last few months show Jagdeep Dhankhar was taking almost a rebellion and anti-Govt stance.

* Hours before his resignation; the Vice President Secretariat announced his tour programme for July 23 to Jaipur. The Govt sources have found out that this was surprising as the Parliament session was already on. Moreover, July 23 happened to be the day of the Prime Minister's departure for the United Kingdom.

Speculation is on now that he had planned to make some peculiar but politically volatile announcement on July 23 in his home state when the Prime Minister was abroad.

** Since the Budget session had ended and especially the Opposition threatened to move a no confidence motion against him; Dhankhar had befriended opposition especially had multiple meetings with Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh and Mallikarjin Kharge.

That is why probably, he appeared soft towards Kharge on July 21 (Monday) and allowed him to speak out of turn on controversial issues including Donald Trump's claims on ceasefire with Pakistan and the alleged intelligence failure that had led to Pahalgam.

*** Hence the ruling side was displeased and knew that things were going too far.

## He also left Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan  embarrassed once and said the Modi government is in power due to support from the farming community but was not doing enough for them.

He also met Arvind Kejriwal once despite the fact that the latter was not an MP. There is nothing wrong in the meeting per se but all these were seen as something that was provoking the BJP central leadership.

On July 21, he convened Business Advisory Committee twice -- something unprecedented. He even convened the third meeting the next day on July 22. All these were being done without proper coordination with the Government and the Parliamentary Affairs Minister which Chairman and even Lok Sabha Speaker normally do.

Moreover, on July 21, he announced that the impeachment motion moved against  Justice Yashwant Varma on cash controversy was being considered. That particular motion was signed by opposition members. He did not take government into confidence for that.

The ruling side was keen to initiate the impeachment process through Lok Sabha.
