"When a lion (sher) kills a frog (mendak) .... it does not give good signal" -- Rajnath Singh exposes Pakistan in the Lok Sabha debate on Operation Sindoor.
BJP MP Baijayant Panda says, "It would have been fun if you (Congress) had given a free hand. Many of your leaders speak really well. My friend Shashi Tharoor speaks really well, but his leadership does not allow him to speak on behalf of the party.
But I felt really good that no one could stop him from speaking in favour of the country..."
Here are the big messages for Pakistan from Rajnath's speech:
* “We once spoke the language of ‘Lahore bus journey’, but Pakistan did not understand that; we now respond with ‘Balakot strike’.”
* “India first extends hand of friendship, but it also knows how to twist the wrist if any country betrays it.”
Amid frequent 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' sloganeering by BJP backbenchers and thumping of desks by ministers including Amit Shah and Piyush Goyal; Rajnath Singh also said:
"Our anti-Pakistan policy is due to their pro-terrorism policies....
"We have learnt from Lord Krishna.... Shishupal's one hundred mistakes can be forgiven but to protect Dharm we have to pick up Sudarshan chakra.
.... We have suffered attack on Parliament, we have suffered 2008 Mumbai attack; now we have said 'enough is enough' ..... now we have picked up Sudarshan chakra"
“Operation Sindoor [is a] symbol of our strength, demonstrated that India will not remain silent if anyone harms its citizens.”
* “Our government has also made numerous efforts to establish peace with Pakistan. But later, through the 2016 surgical strike, the 2019 Balakot air strike, and the 2025 Operation Sindoor, we have adopted a different path to establish peace... The stand of the Narendra Modi government is clear — talks and terror cannot go together...”
* “If we know how to make efforts for peace, we also know how to speak and explain in the language that the vicious understand...”
During his address, Rajnath also said that Operation Sindoor was "paused" as the armed forces had achieved the desired politico-military objectives and asserted that there was "no pressure" to end it. "If Pakistan indulges in fresh misadventure, it will resume again," the minister said in an indirect warning to the neighbouring country.

Occasionally using English phrases and sentences, he tried to give broader messages to the western world.
"Pakistan's sponsored terrorism is not a random madness... There is a method in the madness", the Defence Minister asserted.
Pakistan is a case of 'alternate and contrasting reality' -- where war is peace, freedom is slavery ...ignorance is strength".
