On 05 Jun 2025, based on specific information, the Security Forces launched a patrol in Pongchau Circle in Longding district of #ArunachalPradesh, along the #IndoMyanmar border.
✅Encounter ensued after patrol was fired upon by armed cadres, Defence sources said.
"Effective retaliation forced them to flee across the border," sources said.
As part of the Operation Jalrahat-2, sources said - In Manipur, Assam Rifles carried out a critical relief operation in Thambalkhong Leirak, Wangkhei of Imphal East district by distributing 350 liters of potable drinking water and 5000 liters of general-use water to flood-affected residents.
Simultaneously, another relief effort was conducted at Khumidok village where Assam Rifles rescued stranded persons and established a medical aid camp.
Defogging operations to mitigate health hazards caused by stagnant water are also undertaken.
