Indian forces selected the location for strikes with the intent of targeting top Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar leadership for their role in sponsoring terrorist activities 


On #OperationSindoor, Defence Expert Praful Bakshi says, "India has done it. Nine sites have been targeted. This is a mixed strike by air and artillery...Pakistan will retaliate, and they would have started making stories too. We will get all the details by morning. 

We should remember one thing- strike is not the only solution to take PoK, we need to start occupying it slowly...PoK is ours and we will take it...". 



"Justice is served", the Indian Army tweeted, soon after the government's statement on the strike.

Amid heightened tensions following the Pahalgam attack that killed 26, India has retaliated with strikes on nine terror sites in Pakistan and POK, maintaining it has shown 'considerable restraint' in selection of targets.

Pakistan claims three deaths in strikes, India says no attack on Pak military



The Operation Sindoor struck terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on Wednesday, May 7 wee hours. The precision strikes hit a total of nine locations believed to be involved in orchestrating attacks against India.





In a statement, the government of India said its actions were "focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature".

No Pakistani military facilities were targeted in the strikes. The government also said that the terror sites struck were the ones from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.  


Reacting to the strikes, a beleaguered Pakistan has vowed to retaliate at a "time and place of its choosing", news agency AFP reported.


Pakistan's military spokesperson has said that three people have died and over 12 have been injured in the strikes. Bahawalpur, Kotli and Muzaffarabad are among areas struck, Pakistan has claimed.

OPERATION SINDOOR : INDIAN ARMED FORCES CARRIED OUT PRECISION 

STRIKE AT TERRORIST CAMPS

A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.

Altogether, nine (9) sites have been targeted.

Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution.

These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were murdered. We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable.

Leaking wounds Pakistan’s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, said India has carried out “cowardly” attacks on five locations in Pakistan-administered territory.

In a statement posted to X, Sharif said:

Pakistan has every right to respond forcefully to this act of war imposed by India, and a forceful response is being given.

Indian forces precision strike weapon systems of the three forces, the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, were used in the attacks, including the loitering munitions. 

The coordinates for the attacks on terrorist camps inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were provided by the intelligence agencies. The attacks were carried out from Indian soil only.
