There is something dangerous about speaking things....at times ...they really haunt u..... "as u say, so shall u reap and regret"
PV Narasimha Rao said-- "Law will take its own course" and he got embroiled in corruption cases
Yuvraj Singh had said - "jab tak balla chal raha hae.... thaat hae" and he fell sick
I have my share also --- i used to say ---- "I have a bright future quote-unquote in world's largest democracy" -- in reference to 4 Parl Street and rest is history !!!!
#Rhea Chakraborty also got back her dues .... !!!
On Nov 19, 2009 ---- Rhea had tweeted: "...just stepped out of a weird scary engrossing story of an indian girl ....who served 4 n a half year jail sentence for narcotic trafikking".
In 2020 - she has been jailed now on the issue of drug menace.
A Mumbai court on Sept 11, 2020 rejected her bail plea. Narcotics Control Bureau, country's
anti-drugs agency, said the drugs financed by Rhea Chakraborty were not meant for personal consumption but for supplying to another person.
Therefore, the Section 27A of NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act) should be applicable to her. "She cannot escape the clutches of law," it opined.
Rhea Chakraborty, 'girl friend' of Late Sushant Singh Rajput, was arrested over drugs charges linked to the case vis-a-vis mysterious death of the film star in June.
The bail requests of her brother Showik Chakraborty and four other accused including Samuel Miranda and Deepesh Sawant were also rejected.
Rhea is now expected to cool her heels at Mumbai's Byculla Jail in the judicial custody till September 22.
Of course, she is likely to appeal to the Bombay High Court for bail either on Monday or Tuesday next week.
In her bail request, she has retracted her alleged 'confession' and said she was "coerced into making self-incriminatory confessions".
The Narcotics Control Bureau has argued and alleged that Rhea is "an active member of a drug syndicate".
Amit Jogi, Chhattisgarh leader backs Kangana's crusade .......
Of course, no one expected Raj Thackeray to come to the defence of Kangana Ranaut as portions of her Mumbai office was demolished by BMC.
But neither did anyone expect Omar Abdullah to call spade a spade at this juncture when he has hardly any business to do with Mumbai, Shiv Sena or even the actress.
But tweeted: "This demolition drama in Mumbai, aside from being a misuse of government resources, is a great favour to Ms Ranaut. If it is illegal why wait for this spat to demolish it? More importantly why make her a victim in this sorry story?"
This episode by Sena leadership would haunt the party for long though historically this party could manage to live through many such flip-flops. But here it has been a case of entire Sena-might and the Maharashtra government facing a gutsy woman. A 'par-pranti and also a North Indian'.
We will look into the merits and demerits and all pros and cons at a later stage.
Importantly, few readable tweets would always make sense!
"Fancy feminists, Bullywood activists, candle march groups and award vapsi gang has no comments on what High Court said about open murder of law and order in Maharashtra. Well done, thank you for proving me right always , you all deserve the treatment you get from me".
- Kangana Ranaut
LiveLaw:
says - "While staying the demolition of Kangana Ranaut's building, Bombay HC pulls up BMC. Says BMC's action, prima facie, does not "appear to be bona fide and smacks of mala fides".
And what does the court order say? -- A small line here - "We cannot help but mention here that if MCGM would act with similar swiftness qua the numerous unauthorised constructions in this city (Mumbai), this city would be a completely different place to live in".
In another missive Ms Ranaut wrote:
Now that high court has declared it is a clear case of bullying and its done right after I exposed drug racket, questioned shoddy investigations of SSR murder one can see freedom comes with a price, I am paying for mine are you paying for yours? #ShameOnMahaGovt #ShameOnBollywood
Putting couple of photographs of demolition of the office, she further wrote -
"Pakistan.... #deathofdemocracy".
Before going further, one must say Sena leadership's move was totally unwarranted and a miscalculated move. In the entire process, Uddhav Thackeray is displaying one obvious fact that he is just being 'naive' as a politician and worse as an administrator.
Firstly, the role of Mumbai police in the investigations of Sushant Singh Rajput's death had already come under scanner. The BMC was exposed to faultline earlier when the IPS officer from Bihar, Vinay Tiwari, was quarantined. And now this mistake !!
Kangana Ranaut could be a pawn in the war between BJP and Shiv Sena -- two erstwhile co-partners of Hindutva politics in the state. But the Uddhav regime has done an immense favour to her to give a newly attained 'inflated image'. In the process, Sena showed it had scant respect for voice of dissent.
Even Sanjay Raut's attempt to link Ms Ranaut to insulting Mumbai - by her 'PoK' reference has been done away with.
Therefore came a tweet from industrialist Harsh Goenka who shows a video depicting the death of a tiger by a woman (arrow) shooter.
The missive from the RPG chairman in the micro blogging site was also cleverly framed - "This is just a movie scene.... any resemblance to anything happening in Mumbai is pure coincidence".
The woman on screen in Kangana herself.
However, a most interesting reaction came from NCP chief Sharad Pawar - Mumbai's eternal probable Prime Ministerial material man --- despite having half-a-dozen MPs and these days even less!
According to an ANI report he said: "I don't have any information regarding her office. But I read in the newspapers that it was an unauthorised construction. However, unauthorised constructions are not new in Mumbai. If BMC is acting as per rules, then it is right".
His is a classic 'gol-gol comment' --- one has experienced those during his days as Agriculture Minister -- be it be drought, floods or price escalation of sugar or other commodities.
Just for a refresher sake - here I recall one statement in 'Rashtavadi', NCP's mouthpiece
"Consuming too much of sugar can cause diabetes. 40-45 percent people suffer from diabetes at young age. Not consuming sugar won't kill anyone ....Doctors say eating excess sugar and salt is akin to poison". (February 2010)
So, one should not be surprised !!
However, in all these, one video that has gone viral is Balasaheb Thackeray's remarks to Rajat Sharma in a programme.
The founder of Shiv Sena says (in the video) : "...If I am not there, one day even Shiv Sena can become like Congress".
"Kangana comparing Mumbai to POK is not acceptable. But there is absolutely no doubt that @mybmc moving to suddenly conduct a demolition of areas of her office space is totally questionable. Why now? Why like this? What were you doing all this while if there were irregularities?" - actress Dia Mirza
Chirag Paswan, son of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, has extended his support for Kangana Ranaut's fight for the 'Bihari Boy' Sushant Singh Rajput's death case investigation. Expressing his anger against how the Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra government treated Ranaut, the LJP president said that she is fighting for justice for Sushant Singh Rajput. All the Biharis living in Mumbai, Maharashtra, or elsewhere must come in support of Kangana.
Chirag also had a brief stint in Bollywood and once Chirag and Kangana Ranaut shared dais at a media briefing in Delhi
