Wanted modern politico-socio reformer in Namo? What is Delhi without 'DalXXs' ?

Essentially one bad thing had happened in 2015. The defeat of Narendra Modi and victory of caste game and players like Lalu Prasad in Bihar.

The development actually weakened the 'man with a difference' in Narendra Modi - who had piloted his party (with a difference) to a massive victory in 2014. Most of India voted for him forgetting they were Lingayats or Yadavs. The decisive mandate unnerved the hitherto established players - the casteists, communists and Congress got a shock of their lives. But sadly, they decided to chose the wrong path and ultimately pushed the country back to the politics they are very good at - casteism, anti-India rhetoric and playing up the fear factor amongst Muslims and Christians.
Hence, Mr Modi and his lieutenant Amit Shah also got into business - reworking the caste modules and started making every election a prestige issue.
Media also played its part. The SICKULARISM was its best.
Even a loss in  by-polls were highlighted with banner headline suggesting it will be erroneous to believe that Modi can come back in 2019. Time and again this happened. Electoral victories for Modi in states like Tripura - a Left fortress for generations - was dismissed as aberration and by-poll defeat in Uttar Pradesh was highlighted as vote against Prime Minister.
Not to forget, some intellectuals including Muslims had on May 16, 2014 described mandate 2014 as 'black day' for India. This was display of a kind of hatred! This has sustained and hence Modi's focus has been also to win election - in fact every election.
Thus the modern politico-socio reformer as was expected of him - vis-a-vis 2014 mandate did not come about.

He continued to rest faith in some Delhi-based experts whereas first thing he should have done away was the Delhi cliche. Ajit Doval and Arun Jaitley continue to matter in his government while rest of India still wants PM Modi to show his own credentials and act differently. At times he acted - demonetisation was one such. People of India still believe that the move hit terrorists and also rich and black money establishment itself. The UP mandate was a result of that.

But there is expectation of more. People remember Atal Behari Vajpayee's government for bringing about a situation wherein middle class northeasterner (like the blogger) could dream of a 'home' in Mumbai and Delhi. India was shining truly.
Sampitrodas would have different story and their campaign and the hyped attack on BJP for 2002 Gujarat riots gave country a Sonia-Manmohan decade of 10 years. India had committed a mistake by punishing Vajpayee for Modi's fault of 2002.

Irony is Modi became more powerful and influential gradually.

Here rightly remarked by Tavleen Singh - politicians turned very rich and kept most Indians very poor. But she misses a point: there was rampant corruption, Delhi's power fixers having gala time and in the name of job scheme came in NREGA - which essentially made poor focus on easy money by digging ponds.
"Modi tum ukhar jaogey lekin garibi ka jar ukhar nahi paogey (Modi you will be uprooted but roots of poverty cannot be eliminated in this country)," Prime Minister said in Parliament once.
There was also much push to anti-Hindu politics as 10 Janpath loyalists played up saffron terror and Osamaji games. Hindus started moving closer to Modi's brand of politics.

But with regard Modi himself, the governance since 2014 could not move much beyond schemes, subsidies and populism for poor. This is the India - Congress gave in last 70 years and Modi seems to be riding on the same road map only - occasionally nervous that otherwise his vote bank could shrink.

Notably, the single biggest thing brought about by Modi government is the DTB - direct to bank transfer of subsidies. In the process middlemen have to do finishing act.

But Delhi and SICKULARISM club is not comfortable about it. What is Delhi without 'dalXXs'?

But as the Karnataka poll is over - the sickular gang will start focusing on states like Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Insults to Dalits, killings of Muslims etc. Leading newspapers and media stalwarts - certainly keen for Rajya Sabha berths - would scream that if Modi loses these states, he cannot win 2019.
As a result Modi-Shah will again plunge into politics of booth management and so on.

In the process, the politics of Lingayat-Vokkaliga with their Rajasthani versions will come into play yet again! For a section of media Siddaramaiah was a paragon of all virtues --- with the exit polls survey now the focus can be about a Dalit Chief Minister because JD(S) will not do any business with Siddaramaiah. Media and intellectuals still remain sacred !

This club will now find virtues in Sachin Pilot and Jyotiraditya Scindia and so, 'new punching bags' Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Raman Singh and Vasundhara Raje should get ready for unfavourable media headlines !

'Hate Modi' will remain the theme here again ! And what about Temple visits and tweets from crown prince? SICKULARISM ZINDABAD !!
