Pahalgam terror protest :::: Shops and business establishments in Shillong to remain closed on Monday, April 28th

"We, the citizens of Shillong, are deeply saddened and outraged by the heinous act of terrorism in Pahalgam, which tragically claimed the lives of 26 innocent citizens of our nation. We strongly condemn this barbaric act perpetrated by the terrorist group," said a statement from the Shillong Citizens Forum. 

"To express our profound solidarity with the victims and to unequivocally demonstrate our collective stance against terrorism, the Shillong Citizens Forum respectfully requests the voluntary closure of all business establishments in Shillong on Monday, 28th April 2025," it said.

"We further appeal to your esteemed office to kindly request all Rangbah Shnongs in Shillong to issue a similar appeal within their respective jurisdictions, encouraging the voluntary closure of business establishments in their Shnongs on the aforementioned date.

Your support in this endeavor will serve as a powerful testament to the unity and resolve of the citizens of Shillong in the face of terrorism," the forum said.
